I hate to be “that” person, but it should say “sole” existence, not soul.

Arg, you’re right. Nice catch. Although, I’d like to pretend it was a witty pun, I just goofed; I even debated whether to add “sole” in the first place. (plus the overall grammar in that definition is pretty spotty, at best).
